  1. Launch Registry Editor from the Start Menu and head over to the below location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics
  2. Then go to the right-hand side and double-click on the ScrollWidth string value to open it.
  3. Now enter a value between -120 (thinner) to -1500 (thicker) and hit OK. -252 is the default value. The value uses the following formula: -15 x width in pixels For example: -15 x 16.8 = -252
  4. Furthermore, if you want to change the scrollbar height, then open the ScrollHeight string value.
  5. Then enter a value between -120 (smaller) to -1500 (larger) and hit OK. -252 is the default value. The value uses the following formula: -15 x height in pixels For example: -15 x 16.8 = -252
  6. Once done, restart your PC for the changes to be implemented.
