Download Android Canary Factory Image for Rooting Pixels
In this guide, we will show you the steps to download the Android Canary Factory Image for rooting your Pixel device. Google recently surprised everyone by launching a new release build named Canary. So, what exactly visit? Similar to Chrome Canary, these OS builds will be the first to receive the bleeding-edge features, before they are further polished and rolled out to Beta and ultimately the Stable channels.
In short, the Android Canary builds are the replacement for the Developer Preview builds. As far as their flashing goes, you can only install it via the Android Flash Tool [for now]. So this begs the all-important question-
Since there is no Factory Image, how can one get the boot/init_boot file for rooting the Pixel devices?
Well, XDA Senior Member Bitdomo came to our rescue. He first shared the download links for the factory images for the Pixel 9 series. It was something along the following lines: [Pixel 9 Pro]:
Since we are already aware of the codename for the devices and the build number is the same for all the devices [zp11.250606.010.a1], I thought I can them simply make the required changes in the aforementioned link and get the download link for all the devices.
However, there was just one issue- I wasn’t able to decode the alphanumeric character at the very end [083fdc1c]. Fortunately, Bitdomo once again came to the rescue. So thanks to him, we now have the firmware for all the Pixel devices running the latest Android build. So, without any further ado, let’s make you aware of these links. Follow along.
