Fastboot Mode Missing on OnePlus 13: How to Fix
In this guide, we will show you a nifty method by which you can fix the issue of Fastboot Mode missing from the OnePlus 13. There’s a weird issue going on with the OnePlus devices over the past couple of years. While the device going into bootloop or even a hardbrick state is quite normal, however, we are now seeing reports of the Bootloader mode being missing from the device altogether.
As a result of which, users are not able to flash the Fastboot ROM, firmware, or even the patched init_boot file for rooting. While the FastbootD Mode is still accessible, however, that isn’t the perfect replacement for the Fastboot Mode.
So, is there a way out? Well, there does exist an impressive workaround using which you can easily rectify this issue and bring back the beloved Bootloader onto your device. So, without further ado, let’s show you how this could be done.
Fix Fastboot Mode Missing on OnePlus 13

Before starting, please take a complete device backup. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device, and data by performing the below steps.
In my case, the issue happened while I was going from ColorOS 822 to OxygenOS EU 821. While the flashing was successful and I was booted to the EU ROM, however, the Fastboot Mode disappeared on my OnePlus 13 right after that. To rectify this issue, I just had to flash the abl.img from the EU 602 firmware across both Slots A and B! Here’s how it could be done:
- First off, download and extract Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC.
- Now enable USB Debugging on your device and connect it to PC via USB.
- Now download the firmware and extract the abl.img file from its payload .
- Then transfer the abl.img to the platform-tools and open a CMD window.
- Now type the below commands to flash the abl.img file across both slots: fastboot flash abl_a abl.img fastboot flash abl_b abl.img
- Finally, use the below command to boot your device to the OS: fastboot reboot
- Now type the below command and your device will boot to Fastboot Mode: adb reboot bootloader
