Fix OnePlus 11 auto brightness issue after flashing OxygenOS
In this guide, we will show you the steps to fix the issue of auto brightness not working issue on the OnePlus 11 after flashing OxygenOS. OnePlus has long ditched its in-house OxygenOS in favor of bloated ColorOS. And if you think its bad, then ask the users in China who are in possession of this device. The Chinese version of ColorOS has further been degraded with tons of additional and unnecessary bloatware.
Fortunately, there does exist the option to flash the OxygenOS on top of ColorOS and many users have already done this cross flashing. However, this process isn’t without its fair share of issues either, with a plethora of bugs completely ruining the user experience. With that said, we did manage to find an intriguing tweak that should help you fix one of the most infuriating bugs in all of this- the inability of auto brightness to work along the expected lines on the OnePlus 11.
Fix OnePlus 11 auto brightness issue after flashing OxygenOS
Please take a backup of all the data on your device before proceeding ahead. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.
- To begin with, download and extract Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC.
- Then execute the below command to boot your device to Fastboot Mode adb reboot bootloader
- Then launch Fastboot Enhance and check “Ignore Unknown Partition”.
- Now extract the CPH2449 GLO A.10 firmware ZIP , get the payload.bin, and load it to the Fastboot Enhance.
- Then flash this payload.bin file while your device is in the Fastboot Mode [Bootloader Mode].
- Once done, boot your device to FastbootD Mode [click on Reboot to FastbootD in the tool].
- Now once again check “Ignore Unknown Partition” and flash the latest payload.bin file in this FastbootD Mode
- So we have now flashed the latest OxygenOS firmware [payload.bin] in both Fastboot and FastbootD Modes.
- Now click on Reboot to Bootloader in the tool. Your device will boot to Fastboot Mode.
- Then download the ocdt_CPH2449.img file and transfer it to the platform-tools folder [Credits: XDA Member JimmyTian].
- Now open CMD inside the platform-tools folder and type in the below command to flash ocdt fastboot flash ocdt ocdt_CPH2449.img
- Once done, type in the below command to boot your device to the OS: fastboot reboot
- Set up your device but do not set any PIN/Password/Fingerprint.
- Moving on, now enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on your device.
- Then type in the below command to boot your device to the Fastboot Mode: adb reboot bootloader
- Now execute the below command to relock the bootloader on your device fastboot flashing lock
- Finally, you may reboot your device to the OS via the below command fastboot reboot

- Thod Mofazar 2 years ago Reply Hello Chef, After doing, and bricking my phone that I realized, these are not the same device. I flashed the ocdt_CPH2449.img file on my CPH2487 device I tried to repair via paid flashing ofp, but without success, the phone is now completely unusable.
