Fix Pixel Missed Alarm: Alarm did not fire due to unknown reason

There has been an infuriating issue going on for the past few weeks. Many Pixel users have reported that their alarm doesn’t go off, and further rubbing salt into their wound, they are greeted with the following generic error message : “Alarm did not fire due to unknown reason.” As a result of this, people are late to their jobs, important appointments, and some have even faced disciplinary actions for it.

The issue has been reported across a wide range of devices, right from the affordable Pixel 6A to its latest 9 series. Then, in March 2024, when users asked Google Assistant to disable the alarm, it ended up removing it altogether.

The latest instance of this issue was just a few months back, in October 2024, along with the launch of Android 15, when the alarms didn’t go off. So these devices from the Silicon Valley giant don’t seem to have a great track record when it comes to this domain. As far as the current issue goes, there are a few workarounds that might help you address this issue. So without further ado, let’s check them out.
