Fix Repartition Failed: Flash Firmware via Odin on Galaxy S25 Ultra
In this guide, we will show you the steps to fix the repartition failed error while flashing firmware via Odin on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Flashing firmware on Samsung devices is quite an easy task, just load the AP, BL, CP, and CSC/Home_CSC file [depending on whether you want to format data or not] into Odin and flash them onto your device, which in turn should be booted in Download Mode.
However, things aren’t quite the same with the latest Samsung flagships, thanks to the introduction of Seamless Updates. Due to this, your device will now have dual slots A and B. Currently, your device will be booted to the active slot [let’s say it’s Slot A].
When an update arrives, it will be installed to the inactive slot [Slot B], and when you hit Reboot after installation, the slot change will take place, and now you’ll be on Slot B, which is our new Active Slot [hence Slot A will be our new inactive slot].

This change of slots will happen with each new OTA update. While this isn’t something that a generic user needs to take care of, tech enthusiasts definitely need to take note of this new A/B slot. In this regard, one of the major impacting factors is the way we used to flash the firmware.
Now, you cannot simply load the five aforementioned files and flash them via Odin, there’s an additional requirement of flashing the PIT file as well. If you don’t do so and proceed to flash the firmware via Odin on the Galaxy S25 series, you’ll be greeted with the Repartition Failed error message, among others. Therefore, in this guide, we will show you the steps to address this problem. Follow along.
