Fix Secure Check Failed on Samsung Devices
Recently, I got my hands on the Galaxy A20s. Since I had already used quite a few Samsung devices in the past, I assumed carrying out tweaks on this one should be a cakewalk. Well, I can’t be more wrong! When I tried to flash a custom recovery or the boot file on my Samsung device, I was greeted with the Secure Check Failed error message in the Download Mode.

It was happening because the device refused to load any custom boot/recovery images that don’t contain the SignerVer02 Magic and an AVB Footer at the end of the partition with the image’s size. If you are also currently facing this issue on your Galaxy device with a custom file, then this guide will make you aware of two methods to rectify this problem. Follow along.

Fix Secure Check Failed on Samsung Devices [2 Methods]

There are two methods through which you can get this job done- via Python Script and using TWRP. I have carried out this tweak on my Galaxy A20s, and both the tweaks worked here, but I cannot say the same for other Samsung devices. You’ll have to try it out yourself and let us know the result.
Before starting the process, make sure to take a complete device backup. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the steps below.
FIX 1: Via Script
- First off, download and install Python on your PC.
- After that, download the Python script from here .
- Now place the boot/recovery file in the script folder.
- Next up, open CMD inside that folder and then type python fix_bootable_image.py boot.img output.img
- Convert the output.img to TAR and flash it via Odin .
FIX 2: Via TWRP
- Download & install TWRP Recovery on your device.
- Now, boot your device to the recovery and flash this: DOWNLOAD LINK
- This will fix the boot image installed on your device.
