How to Boot Galaxy S25 Ultra to EDL Mode
In this guide, we will show you the steps to boot your Galaxy S25 Ultra into EDL Mode. In the usual case scenario, if your device is softbricked or in a bootloop, you can easily recover it by flashing the stock firmware [AP, BL, CP, CSC] files via the Odin Tool in the Download Mode. However, this Download Mode will be of no use if your device is hardbricked, or to be more precise, in the Qualcomm HS USB QDLoader 9008 Mode.
In such cases, you’ll have to flash the firmware in the Emergency Download Mode using a different tool. But as opposed to earlier times, booting the Galaxy S25 Ultra in the EDL Mode is no child’s play. The usual hardware key combinations aren’t going to work here, and obviously neither would the adb reboot edl command [because you cannot execute ADB commands in this mode].
So what else can be done? Well, in this guide, we will show you the detailed instructions that will help you get this job done. So without further ado, let’s get started.
How to Boot Galaxy S25 Ultra to EDL Mode

First off, you’ll have to purchase an EDL cable, something like the Hydra Tool v2 cable that has a dedicated button for booting to EDL Mode. This tool isn’t available in India, and you have to use a site like eBay or AliExpress to import it [I bought from AliExpress of Youkiloon brand, see below image, though you are free to buy from anyone of your choice]. Once you have got hold of the cable, let’s proceed with the steps to boot your device to the Emergency Download Mode. Follow along.

- First, disable the Driver Signature Enforcement Verification .
- Now install the Qualcomm HS USB QDLoader 9008 drivers .
- After that, press and hold the EDL button on the EDL cable.
- Then press and hold the Volume Up and Down keys as well.
- While having all three keys pressed, connect the device to PC.
- Then let go of the Volume keys but keep the EDL key pressed.
- Now wait 5 seconds and then tap Volume down keys 15 times.
- Then release the EDL button. Your device will reboot to EDL.
