How to Bypass FRP on any Pixel Device

In this guide, we will show you the steps to bypass the FRP [Factory Reset Protection] on any Pixel device. This process will work till the Pixel 9 series, but only till the Android 14 April update, because after that, Google has patched this workaround [UPDATE: A few users have said that they were able to try out the steps successfully on Android 15 as well].

Since the Pixel 10 series came with Android 16 out of the box, this trick will not work with those devices. Likewise, Google has patched the bootloader rollback on the Pixel 6A, so you wouldn’t be able to downgrade it as well. Still, if you want, you are more than welcome to give it a try and let us know the result. So on that note, let’s get started with the steps.

Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.

  1. Turn on your Pixel and connect it to a WiFi network. Now insert a SIM Card.

  2. Use the back button to go back to the first page of the welcome screen.

  3. Tap on the emergency call button to open a new menu.

  4. Dial 112 and tap on the call button to call.

  5. Wait to see maps with your location to show. Tap on it to open Google Maps.

  6. If you get the error message “can’t get your location”, then just hang up and call again.

  7. Tap on the call icon at the top left and hang up.

  8. Then come back to Google Maps and tap the skip button at the top right.

  9. Now tap on Share and select Messages > New Message > Type the number 123 in the To field.

  10. Then type in youtube.com in the message field and hit Send. The below three steps will be used to open the Chrome browser. The trick we used here might not work on all devices; in that case, check out FAQ 1 at the end of this guide.

  11. Now, click on “tap to load preview” and then tap on www.youtube.com.

  12. You’ll get a prompt “Allow YouTube to send notifications?”, tap Don’t Allow.

  13. Now tap on the profile at the top right > Settings > About > Google Privacy Policy. This will open Chrome.

  14. Tap on “Use without an account”. If the search bar is visible, tap on it.

  15. Or tap on the 9 dots [3 in each row] at the top right and select Search.

  16. Now search this article on Google, and tap on this link to bring up the dialer on your device.

  17. It will type some random numbers in the dialer, delete it. Hit the back button > tap on the overflow icon at the top right and select Settings.

  18. Scroll all the way down and tap on Flip to Shh. Then tap on the search icon at the top right. [Not able to get the Settings menu search? See FAQ 2 for an alternate method].

  19. Search Accessibility and open it from the search result > go to Accessibility menu > enable Accessibility Menu Shortcut > Allow > Got it.

  20. Then select Google Play Service > Disable > Disable App. Once done, remove the SIM Card from your device.

  21. Now keep on pressing Back until you reach the Welcome screen. Or you may also long-press the Power key and select Restart to reach the Welcome screen.

  22. At this point, we have removed FROM from your device; now it’s just a matter of getting into the phone!

  23. Wait till you reach the “Who are you setting up this phone for?” menu [Cannot reach this menu? See FAQ 3 at the end].

  24. Then tap on the Accessibility button on the screen [a small circle with three dots] and select Accessibility Settings.

  25. Now select Talkback, scroll down, and select Settings. Now select Braille Keyboard > Set up Braille Keyboard.

  26. Then select Settings > tap on Gboard > Share Gboard > Share. Choose Chrome from the share sheet.

  27. Once again, search this article and tap on this link to bring up the dialer.

  28. It will type some random numbers in the dialer, delete it. Hit the back button > tap on the overflow icon at the top right and select Settings.

  29. Scroll all the way down and tap on Flip to Shh. Then tap on the search icon at the top right. [Not able to get the Settings menu search? See FAQ 2 for an alternate method].

  30. Now go to Apps > Apps Battery Usage > Google Play Service > Enable.

  31. Now keep on pressing Back until you reach the Welcome screen. Or you may also long-press the Power key and select Restart to reach the Welcome screen.

  32. Set up your device now, but please do not connect to WiFi. Just accept all the terms and conditions, and you’ll reach the home screen, bypassing FRP on your Pixel!

  33. Once you have typed 123 in the Recipient field, take a screenshot using the Volume Down and Power keys.

  34. Now tap the camera icon left of the message field and select the screenshot. It will be added to the text field.

  35. Tap on it > select Share > Google Search Image > Tap on the overflow icon at the top right > Privacy Policy.

  36. This will open Chrome! You may now continue from the above steps.

Tap on this shortcut . It should directly open the Settings menu on your device.

If you cannot reach the “Who are you setting up this phone for?” menu, then unfortunately, you’ll have to take a long route back. Start from scratch, and when you reach STEP 20, make sure to Force Stop the Android Setup as well. After that, once you reach STEP 22, your device will be stuck in the SETUP screen loop [wouldn’t be able to go past the Checking for Updates screen]. On that screen, you can bring up the Accessibility menu, select Accessibility Settings, and carry out the subsequent steps.
