How to Convert Ace 5 to OnePlus 13R: ColorOS to OxygenOS

In this guide, we will show you the steps to convert the OnePlus Ace 5 running ColorOS to OnePlus 13R running OxygenOS. The devices from OnePlus shipped in China have one major differentiating factor when compared with their Global counterpart- the underlying OS skin. While the latter comes with OxygenOS, the former has ColorOS. In this regard, some users tag ColorOS as a bloated OS with tons of unnecessary apps and functionalities.

Before starting, please take a complete device backup. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device, and data by performing the below steps.

  1. To begin with, download and extract Android SDK Platform Tools .
  2. Next, enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking on your device.
  3. Now unlock the bootloader on your device and connect it to the PC.
  4. Then open Command Prompt inside the platform-tools and type in adb reboot bootloader
  5. If the device doesn’t boot to Fastboot Mode, then install the drivers .
  6. Then, download the OxygenOS 15 ROM for your Ace 5 from below: Super Flasher IN 821 + COS ODM.zip
  7. Now, extract it and launch the Super_Flasher13R.bat file to start the flashing.
  8. It will also ask if you want to do a Format Data, reply in affirmative [YES/OK].
  9. Once the flashing is complete and there’s no error as well, reboot to the OS via: fastboot reboot
