How to download OnePlus downgrade firmware when removed from servers

In this guide, we will show you a nifty method using which you can download the OnePlus downgrade/rollback firmware when the files have been officially removed from their servers. There can be quite a few reasons why you might want to get hold of an older firmware build. For instance, if you are currently on the newer beta build but wish to get back to the older stable release or you are not a fan of the new UI/UX that the latest OS release has to offer.

Well, whatever the reason, OnePlus does not offer you downgrade firmware that you can easily install onto your device via a dedicated apk. Unfortunately, though, those builds are quickly removed from their servers as well. So in the near future, if there’s ever a need to get these packages, then you are out of luck. Or so we thought!

You’ll be surprised to know that the files are still there on the servers, but it’s just that you cannot access them the usual way. Instead, you’ll have to access those files via a particular IP and Hostname and make sure to turn off the Private Domain Name Server as well [all of this has been explained below]. So without any further delay, let’s show you how this can be carried out.

If you are getting the “403 Forbidden” or “Access Denied” error when trying to access the firmware download links, then check out this guide instead.
