What is Sleep Timer in YouTube?

As is evident by its name, the Sleep Timer feature in YouTube allows you to set a time after which the video playback will automatically be paused . The available time limits are 15, 20, 30, 45, and 60 minutes , or till the end of the video . However, do note that at the time of writing, it is currently in the testing phase and is only available to YouTube Premium users .
How to Enable Sleep Timer in YouTube

As already mentioned before, this feature is currently live only for YouTube Premium users and is valid till 2nd September. So if you qualify for these requirements, then just hop onto the below section to try out this feature right away:
On Desktop
- Head over to the YouTube Experiment Labs page on your PC.
- Then click on Try it now under Sleep Timer.
- Now while watching a video, click on the Settings icon at the bottom right.
- Then select Sleep Timer and choose your desired time limits from the following: 15, 20, 30, 45, and 60 minutes, or ‘End of video’
On Mobile
- Launch the YouTube app and tap on your profile icon at the bottom right.
- Then tap on the Settings icon at the top right and go to Try experimental new features.
- Now tap on Try it Out under Sleep Timer.
- Then play a video of your choice and tap on the settings icon.
- Select Sleep Timer and choose your desired time limits from the following: 15, 20, 30, 45, and 60 minutes, or ‘End of video’
