Requirements

  • armeabi-v7a or arm64-v8a architecture
  • 32 bit audio service (while this can also can be found in 64 bit ROM with 32 bit support, but for me, none of my 64-bit ROMs had this support).
  • Android 4.2 (SDK 17) and up
  • Magisk or KernelSU installed

Instructions Steps

Using this module with Magisk is much easier in comparision with KernelSU, as the latter requires a few addiortnal tweaks [as shown below]. Still, we have shown both the methods, and the choice is all yours.

  1. First off, download the Dolby Atmos Module . Now flash it via KernelSU or Magisk.
  2. If you are using any other audio mod, then flash the AML Magisk Module as well.
  3. If you are using KernelSU, then go to SuperUser > Dolby Atmos > disable Unmount Module > restart device.
  4. Likewise, KernelSU users should install a root supported file manager app like Solid File Exporer.
  5. Then launch it, head over to data/adb/ap and open the package_config file.
  6. Then change the first two numbers of Dolby Atmos to 0,1. Here’s how: If currently it is app.package.name, 1,1 ,10324,0,u:r:magisk:s0 Then change it to app.package.name, 0,1 ,10324,0,u:r:magisk:s0 But what are these values? app_package_name,exclude,allow,uid,to_uid,sctx
  7. Now mount the module and restart the device. That’s it. The module will now work on your device.

Fix Dolby Atmos is Force Closing

If the Dolby Atmos is force closing or showing a blank/error screen, then reboot your device twice without reinstalling.

Fix Dolby Atmos Module is Freezing

If module installation is freezing, then your ROM might not have a busybox installed. So first install it from this link .

Fix Apps/Icons Broken After Flashing Dolby Atmos

If you are using KernelSU/APatch or SuList, then you have to include your launcher app & all package names from the module (listed in package.txt) to the whitelist/superuser list and reboot, otherwise apps/icons will be broken. But exclude your launcher app and any package name from the module to Zygisk DenyList or Xposed or Riru LSPosed or Riru EdXposed or Taichi Magisk Module, then reboot!

Dual Speaker Tweak

  1. If you have dual speakers but the left speaker has lower sound volume than the right speaker, then run this command in the Termux app: su -c settings put system master_balance -0.5
  2. If the right speaker has lower sound than the left speaker, change -0.5 to 0.5 . If you want to revert to the default settings, change it to 0.0 .
