How to Install OnePlus Contacts, Messages, and Phone Apps

Before starting, please take a complete device backup. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the below steps.
- First, root your device via Magisk / KernelSU / APatch .
- Then download the OnePlus Apps module from below DOWNLOAD LINK [Credits: XDA Member alexsrg]
- Now flash it via your rooting app and restart the device.
You’ll now have all three OnePlus apps installed on your device. However, as of now, the three Google apps will also be installed. Since these three apps are system apps, you’ll have to take the help of ADB Commands or a third-party app like Canta [recommended method] to remove them. Or a much easier approach is to simply disable these three apps instead of removing them. Here’s how all of these tasks can be carried out.

If you don’t want to uninstall or disable any of these three Google Apps, then make the OnePlus apps the default, or else they wouldn’t be able to work. So launch the app and you’ll get the option to make it the default right then and there. Or you can also take a longer route and get this job done via Settings > Apps > Default App.

How to Remove Google Apps
Rather than having two instances of the apps that perform the same tasks, let’s remove the one from Google. Here’s how it can be done:
Via ADB Commands
- Download and extract the Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC.
- Now enable USB Debugging and connect your device to PC via USB.
- Then find the app package names for Contacts, Message, and Phone.
- Next up, open Command Prompt inside platform-tools and type in: adb shell pm uninstall –user 0
- Taking the above command syntax, the commands in our case will be pm uninstall –user 0 com.google.android.contacts pm uninstall –user 0 com.google.android.dialer pm uninstall –user 0 com.google.android.apps.messaging
