Before starting, please take a complete device backup. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device and data by performing the steps below.

Kernel Properties

To root your Poco F5 via SukiSU Ultra, we will be flashing a custom ROM. There are quite a few ways of flashing a kernel; however, using a custom recovery is the easiest of them all. So we will be using the Templar-Kernel-x.x-SukiSu-LinuxStable.zip to get this job done. Here are the properties of this kernel:

  • Linux Stable 5.10.245
  • KernelSU-Next tag: v1.1.1
  • Update KernelSU-Next version: 12876
  • Update Susfs 1.5.10
  • Update SukiSU-Ultra version (GitHub): 13392
  • Update SukiSU-Ultra version (Github): v3.2.0-b00a606a@susfs-main
  • GreenForce Clang version 22.0.0
  • Add I/O Scheduler “Kyber”
  • Optimized Performance, Battery & Temperature.

Important Points

  • If you want to use Templar on a custom ROM, first flash Glow Kernel 4.0 and boot into the OS, then flash Templar Kernel.
  • If you want to use Templar on MIUI, first flash Glow Kernel 3.9 and boot into the OS, then flash Templar Kernel.

Installation Steps

  1. First up, download the SukiSU Ultra APK and transfer it to your device.
  2. Next, download the Templar Kernel and transfer it to your device too.
  3. Now install a custom recovery onto your device.
