How to Turn Off WiFi Directly from Control Center on iPhone
In this guide, we will show you an interesting method that allows you to directly turn off WiFi from the Control Center on your iPhone. When I first made the switch from Android to iPhone a couple of years back, I was taken aback by how iOS deals with WiFi. So there’s a toggle for WiFi and many other features, such as Bluetooth, Hotspot, Battery Saver, and others that you can add to that section.
It’s quite obvious that when we tap on the toggle, it should turn off that feature. And that’s what I assumed as well. So when going to sleep, I turned off WiFi by simply tapping on that toggle [carrier data was turned off beforehand]. But during the entire night, I was constantly getting bugged with notifications from the likes of WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack [duh!], etc.

How I Fixed This Issue!
So the next morning when I woke up, I decided to test out this feature. Then I realized that when I tapped on WiFi, it only disconnected my device from the WiFi; it didn’t actually turn it off. So if you head over to the Settings menu and have a look at the WiFi status, it will still be up and running. Seriously, I haven’t seen such a dumb workflow across any OS.
What is more surprising is that no users til now have ever put up this point. It seems as if I am the only one infuriated by this non-sensical decision-making of iOS. So I took matters into my own hands, did some research, and finally found a nifty method using which you can use this toggle for what it should be actually doing out of the box- turn off the WiFi instead of disconnecting it. Without any further ado, let’s show you how this could be carried out.
