However, carrying out these tweaks might bring in a few risks as well. There’s always a chance of things going south and your device ending up in a bootloop or bricked state. Fortunately, even if that happens, you can now easily bring your tablet back to life. And in this guide, we will show you how to do just that. So without any further ado, let’s get started.
How to Unbrick Lenovo Legion Y700

The below process will wipe off all the data from your device [not that you are in a position to take a backup, it is still worth mentioning it]. - Download and extract the QPST Tool on your PC.
- Now download the stock firmware for your tablet.
- Then extract the firmware inside the “bin” folder of QPST.
- Now, open QFIL from your QPST bin folder and install it.
- Don’t worry if it shows “No Port Available”, we’ll fix it later.
- Next up, hit “Browse” in the “Programmer Path” window.
- Then navigate to your QPST bin folder and select the “prog_firehose_ddr.elf” file.
- Hit “Load XML” and navigate to your QTPS bin folder.
- Select all the “rawprogram” files. In the next window, select all the patch files.
- Now boot your tablet to the EDL Mode. Here’s how it can be done: Legion Y700 Gen2 (TB320FC) Power off the tablet. If it is bricked, that will already be the case. In case of softbricked or bootloop, long press the Power key to turn it off. Connect only the USB cable to your PC. Do not connect the device yet. With the device powered off, connect the USB cable to the tablet while holding the Volume Up button. After a short while, the device will boot to EDL mode. Legion Y700 Gen3 (TB321FU) Power off the tablet. If it is bricked, that will already be the case. In case of softbricked or bootloop, long press the Power key to turn it off. Connect only the USB cable to your PC. Do not connect the device yet. With the device powered off, press and hold only the VOL (+) button while connecting the USB cable. The charging mark will appear and after a while the device will switch to EDL mode.
- QFIL should now detect the Qualcomm 9008 port. If that doesn’t happen, click on “Select Port” and select the Qualcomm 9008 port.
- Finally, click Download, and the flashing will now start. This might take a while. Once done, your device should boot to the OS.
