“Hulu is no longer supported on this device” error: What’s next?
In this guide, we will be discussing a rather infuriating move carried out by the subscription streaming service which is resulting in the “Hulu is no longer supported on this device” error. We have seen many different ways through which a company could force a user to upgrade to a newer device in order to continue receiving the support on its product, but the manner adopted by Hulu is just not acceptable on any front.
Hulu decided to pull out the plugs all of a sudden across numerous older devices. As a result of which, they are unable to access this service and are instead being greeted with the “Hulu is no longer supported on this device” error. According to the affected users, there was no prior notification from the company and this left them in the lurch, with their paid subscription plans now lying useless.
Some of the popular devices affected by this include Apple TV Gen 3, PS3, Xbox 360, and a few Samsung Smart TVs. The users have said in spite of having older hardware, all the other services were running well and good on their devices, so why Hulu decided to take this action is beyond their understanding. Moreover, users have said that purchasing a new device just for the sake of viewing Hulu content doesn’t make much sense and that is completely understandable.

What’s Hulu say on this?
Well, as per the Hulu statement, they seem to be hell-bent on this move and there doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. Here’s what they had to say to one of the affected customers:

So what’s next?
Well, as obvious as it may sound, but your only course of action is to upgrade to a newer device. However, that isn’t either the most feasible nor the most viable one because shelling out hefty amount of bucks just to watch a streaming service shouldn’t have been the case in the first place. However, Hulu has decided that this is the only way forward and we don’t have much say in that.
