LineageOS 22 for Galaxy S24 Ultra is Here [In Testing]
One UI from Samsung currently offers the maximum tweaks and customizations that any OEM can offer [the Good Lock module further cements this statement]. However, if you want to get yourself a clean stock UI experience with just the basic features on top of an AOSP experience, then there’s some good news in store for you. One of the most popular custom ROMs out there, LineageOS, has just made its way over to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. So a clean, fast, and snappy UI/UX is on the cards. On that note, let’s make you aware of the steps to welcome it abode to your device. Follow along.

Before starting, please take a complete device backup. Moreover, at the time of writing, there are quite a few bugs, so you wouldn’t be able to ‘daily drive’ it. With that said, the developer is doing a great job in quashing all the bugs and releasing new builds at regular intervals.
We will be posting the latest builds in this post along with the remaining bugs. Once you find it suitable enough to flash it, you’re good to go! - To begin with, download LineageOS 22 for Galaxy S24 Ultra: DOWNLOAD LINK [Credits: XDA Senior Member kevte89!]
- Download and extract the Android SDK Platform Tools.
- Next up, unlock the bootloader on your Samsung device.
- Now, download and extract the Odin Tool on your PC.
- Now, boot your device to Download Mode for flashing.
- Launch Odin and make sure your device is listed there.
- Now go to its Options tab and uncheck the Auto Reboot.
- Then, click on AP, navigate to recovery.tar, and select it.
- Then load the vbmeta_patched.tar file to the Userdata slot.
- Now hit Start. The recovery will be flashed onto the device.
- Then reboot your device directly to newly flashed recovery .
- Now, from the recovery, go to Factory Reset > Format data.
- Once done, select Apply Update > Apply from ADB option.
- Rename the file to rom.zip and transfer it to platform tools.
- After that, type in the below command in the CMD window adb sideload rom.zip
- The flashing will now start. Once done, you will get a prompt.
- Tap Yes if you wish to sideload any other ZIP file [it’s optional]
- Or else, tap on No if you don’t want to sideload any other ZIP file.
- Once done, head to Factory Reset > Format data and do the reset.
- Finally, tap Reboot System Now to boot to the newly flashed OS.

- Carl Fungus 3 months ago Reply I wish sometimes those guidelines would be more explicit. I am almost 60, still like freedom on my devices. For you guys every step of the process is natural. For me rooting is very complicated. e.g. now write this and do that. Where on the lap top or telephone. I don’t see a clear seperation ofwhen and where to do it. Als download this….. on phone or pc? But thank you for your efforts. And keep fighting the big ones. 🙂
