No Button to Take Photo While Recording Video on Samsung [Fix]

When you are recording a video, there might be a few instances when you would want to capture a photo in between. Well, nearabout every OEM, Samsung included, gives you a button for that. However, I have come across a few reports wherein users have said that they are unable to take a photo while recording a video on their Samsung device as the said button is no where to be found.

This issue isn’t reported across any particular device, CSC, or One UI version. With that said, we did come across an interesting tweak that will help you get back this feature. So without any further ado, let’s check it out.

To rectify this issue, you can add a floating button to the viewfinder. What’s even better is the fact that this button could be placed anywhere on the screen, as opposed to the usual bottom left position, which becomes extremely difficult to access, especially in large screen devices. But how to add this button? Let’s find out.

  1. First off, launch the Camera app and tap on the Settings button at the top left/right.
  2. Then go to Shooting Methods and enable the toggle next to ‘Floating shutter button’.
  3. Drag this floating shutter button and place it at the desired location on your screen. Credits: Samsung
