OnePlus 11/12/13 Cannot Get Past Setup Screen after Reset [Fix]
There’s a worrisome issue bugging the latest OnePlus devices. If you are on firmware version 850 or 860, then think twice before opting for a factory reset. But what’s the issue? Well, if you end up doing a factory reset on OnePlus 11, 12, or 13 having the aforementioned firmware, then it will get stuck in the Google Setup screen and won’t be able to get past it. So how can it be fixed? Let’s find out.

Fix OnePlus 11/12/13 Cannot Get Past Setup Screen after Reset

Let us see the plausible ways of addressing this issue under two circumstances- locked and unlocked bootloader.
If Your Device’s Bootloader is Unlocked
If the device’s bootloader is unlocked [or you atleast have the OEM Unlock enabled], you’ll have to use the hardware key combinations to boot your device to Fastboot Mode and then flash the firmware via a third-party tool like Fastboot Firmware Flasher .

For booting to Fastboot, first off, long-press the Power button to turn off the device. Then press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for a few seconds, and your device will boot to Fastboot Mode. You may now unlock the bootloader [if it is locked and OEM Unlocking is enabled] via the fastboot flashing unlock command and then flash the firmware via the tool mentioned above.

However, both these tweaks [unlocking the device and flashing the firmware] will result in the device being formatted. And since you are currently stuck in the setup screen, you wouldn’t be able to take a backup as well. Thanks, OnePlus!
If Your Device’s Bootloader is Locked
If the device’s bootloader is locked, then in that case, you are left with no choice but to opt for EDL Flashing. EDL is Emergency Download Mode , a secondary boot mode in Qualcomm devices, in which a specific firmware format is flashed to bring the device back to life from a hard-bricked state. Thus, EDL flashing is not a free process, and you’ll have to shell out some bucks.

Initially, we had a couple of tweaks, atleast for the OnePlus 11, using which one could easily flash the ELD firmware by yourself. However, Oppo then patched both these processes [see links below]. Apart from that, some people also offer paid remote EDL flashing services. The benefit of it is that you can easily get your device flashed right from the comfort of your home without going to the service center.

Unfortunately, their servers have been down for the past month and would be of no use to us now [one month is quite a long time frame, forcing us to believe that Oppo has closed those servers as well]. Now your only course of action is to go to a service center, waste your valuable time and money, and then get the firmware flashed. What’s worse is that some users don’t even have a service center in their country. So their only course of action is to wait for those paid services’ servers to be up and running once again, the chances of which look bleak.

How To Avoid This Issue
If you are currently on firmware 850 or 860 and are planning to do a reset, then do these two things first-
- Log out of all your Google accounts and remove them as well, to be on the safe side.
- Remove all your screen locks- PIN/Password/Pattern.
Once you have checkmarked these two prerequisites, you can now proceed ahead and do a reset with ease.
So on that note, we round off this guide about the OnePlus 11/12/13 being unable to get past the setup screen on firmware 850/860. How to Root OnePlus 13 via KernelSU Next and SUSFS
In this guide, we will show you the steps to root your OnePlus 13 via KernelSU Next and SUSFS. There exist quite a few ways using which you can root your Android device, with Magisk reigning supreme at the top. However, we are seeing a slight change in the priority among the tech enthusiasts. There has been a minuscule yet noticeable shift among the users from Magisk to its counterparts.
These include the likes of unofficial forks of Magisk like Kitsune or Delta, or other third-party alternatives like KernelSU, APatch, and KernelSU Next. So why this change all of a sudden? Well, it has now become quite a challenging task to hide root as banking and payment apps have put in place numerous checks for the Magisk binary.
However, they are yt to do so for the aforementioned apps. Hence, if you rooted via any of those apps, then there’s a high chance that you can easily bypass the root checks on your device and use payment apps without any issues. So due to all these reasons, this guide will show you the steps to root your OnePlus 13 via KernelSU Next and SUSFS. Follow along,
