SIM Card not working on OnePlus Custom ROM [ColorOS Users]

OnePlus users who were on the ColorOS before flashing a Custom ROM are reporting that their SIM Card is no longer working. While this issue has affected numerous OnePlus devices and ROMs, however, OnePlus 13 users on the Nameless AOSP ROM seem to be the most impacted ones. Fortunately, we managed to find a nifty workaround that should help you rectify this issue. So without further ado, let’s check it out.

The issue has happened because you were not on the latest ColorOS firmware before flashing the firmware. So to rectify it, you have to flash the oplusstanvbk.img and modem.img files from the latest firmware to their respective partitions. Here’s how it can be done:

[Before starting, please take a complete device backup. Droidwin and its members wouldn’t be held responsible in case of a thermonuclear war, your alarm doesn’t wake you up, or if anything happens to your device, and data by performing the below steps].

  1. To begin with, download the latest ColorOS firmware for your device.
  2. You may use the Oxygen Updater app or any other third-party website.
  3. Once done, extract the oplusstanvbk.img and modem.img files from the firmware.
  4. Then enable USB Debugging and connect your device to the PC Via USB.
  5. Now, download and extract Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC.
  6. Then transfer both the oplusstanvbk.img and modem.img to files to the platform-tools
  7. Now open Command Prompt inside that folder and type in the below command to boot to FastbootD Mode adb reboot fastboot
  8. Now type in the following commands to flash both of these files fastboot flash oplusstanvbk oplusstanvbk.img fastboot flash modem modem.img
  9. Finally, type in the below command to boot to the OS:
