The reason behind this issue is the fact that Twitch recently updated its website and added a CSS feature called the “ has() selector”. Unfortunately, this selector isn’t supported in older browser versions. As a result of this, the video player’s width is set to zero instead of 100%, leading to no video on the screen.

How to Fix Twitch Stream Not Working on Old Firefox

To rectify this issue, you’ll have to manually enable the “ has() selector” in the Firefox browser. Here’s how it can be done:

  1. Open a new tab in Firefox and type about:config.
  2. You’ll get a warning, accept to proceed ahead.
  3. Now type in the below value in the search bar: layout.css.has-selector.enabled
  4. Simply double-click it to set its value to true .
