Truth be told, I have never heard about this file in my 10+ years working in the tech industry. So I did some research and found out that this music file tends to appear suddenly, and even if users delete it, it automatically comes back.

Pinterest It Is!

The single biggest culprit behind this issue seems to be Pinterest. Many users have reported that after deleting the app’s data, the issue was rectified. Zomato Isn’t Far Behind Either!

For some, the food-delivery app proved to be the offender! Here’s what one user had to say: “ I recently discovered the actual app causing this file to download on my phone. This is an audio file downloaded by the Zomato app when you refresh the page. Delete au_uu_szh34yr2, then go to Zomato, refresh the page, and you will see it appear again. It could be another app as well, which gives a notification sound, like when refreshing the page or something else”.Many users had echoed the same sentiments, and after uninstalling the app, the issue was indeed fixed for them. So give it a shot and see if it works for you.

Or Could it be YouTube Music

Google’s music player might have also joined this bandwagon. According to some, it was only after enabling the Device Files feature in the YouTube Music app that au_uu_szh34yr2 appeared in their device. And turning it off removed the file. So if you have enabled this option, try turning it off and see if it spells out success for you.
