Urgent Missing in iPhone Reminder in iOS 26.2: How to Fix
Apple has finally rolled out a much-requested feature- the ability to make a reminder in iPhone as Urgent, which will trigger a full alarm instead of just a notification. So if you have tagged an important notification as an urgent one, then the alarm will go off even if your device is in Silenced Mode or Focus Mode is enabled. While this feature has already rolled out in iOS 26.2, however, many users have voiced their concern that it’s still missing from their iPhones. If you are also facing the same issue, then this guide will help you rectify it. Follow along.

Fix Urgent Missing in iPhone Reminder in iOS 26.2

There isn’t any bug as such. The thing with this is that only the Reminders that have been synced with iCloud will have the Urgent toggle. The reminders stored locally will not have the Urgent option. So make sure to sync your reminders to the cloud, and you’ll get this feature. To do so, head over to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Enable the toggle next to Reminders. Once done, you’ll then get the Urgent option in your reminders.

UPDATE
A bunch of users have said that even after enabling the iCloud sync for Apple Reminders, the Urgent feature is still missing from their devices. Here’s what a user had to say in this regard:
The new IOS 26.2 brings this new urgent reminder feature, so I decide to give it a try. But it seems like this doesn’t work on my iPhone for some reason. As you can see, it only shows that it’s available with the iPad. I already turned on the alarms toggle in the reminders settings.
They have already filed a bug report, so let’s see what Apple has to say in this regard. As and when they respond, we will update this guide accordingly. Stay tuned.
