WhatsApp 2.25.19.70 Force Closing For Many [Fixed]

Many users have voiced their concern that WhatsApp 2.25.19.70 is force closing for them. This build brings in Chat Themes, which allow you to customize your bubble color and wallpaper. However, there’s a long way from being tested as users are not even able to send messages or even read them. As soon as they try to launch the app, it tends to suddenly close.

What is even more infuriating to note is the fact that this is a stable version. So, how it managed to pass the beta testing stage and roll out to the masses is anyone’s guess. Generally, if there’s any issue in the stable build, then you can update the app to the beta build and use it for a time frame.

However, the thing is that this beta build is even ahead of the latest beta build [2.25.19.21], so upgrading to beta would actually be a downgrade, which might not work. [A buggy stable build, plus stable being a step ahead of beta, seriously, some interesting things are going on, Meta!]. With that said, there does exist a workaround using which you’ll be able to rectify this issue. So without further ado, let’s check it out.

Fix WhatsApp 2.25.19.70 Force Closing

WhatsApp 2.25.19.70 Force Closing - 1

After releasing the buggy version of WhatsApp 2.25.19.70, Meta has since released two more versions of the app, a beta version 2.25.20.2 and a stable version 2.25.19.71. Both these versions are free from this issue. So you can update WhatsApp to this newest build [stable users should get the stable release and beta users the beta ones] from the Play Store.

However, if the update is not yet live in the Play Store, then you can manually sideload these APKs from the APKMirror [or any other third-party site of your choice], whose direct links are given here: WhatsApp Messenger 2.25.20.2 beta | WhatsApp Messenger 2.25.19.71 .
