WhatsApp Web Scrolling Not Working: How to Fix

In this guide, we will show you a couple of handy workarounds that should help you fix the issue of WhatsApp Web scrolling not working along the expected lines. While this instant messaging service offers a standalone app for PC [both Windows and Mac], many users still prefer to use its web version because hey, it is one less app to clutter your system.

And from my personal experience, I don’t see any noticeable gain by using its app instead of its web version. Up until now. This is because, for the past few days, many users have voiced their concern that the scrolling is not working on WhatsApp Web. This issue is mostly noticeable when we open the Emoji window and then try to scroll through the chats.

A similar scrolling issue was also reported a couple of years back, and it seems to have made its way over to this platform once again. Fix WhatsApp Web Scrolling Not Working

It is recommended that you try out each of the below-mentioned workarounds and then see which one spells out success. NOTE: The first two are easy to carry out but will offer temporary respite, whereas the third one is a tad bit lengthy process but will offer you permanent respite. So with that in mind, let’s get started.

FIX 1: Resize Window

A simple tweak of resizing the window should be enough to rectify this issue for your current usage session. But when you close the window and re-open WhatsApp Web, the scrolling issue will make its comeback, and you’ll once again have to tweak the window to fix this problem.

FIX 2: Refresh Window

Similar to the aforementioned tweak, doing a refresh will fix the scrolling issue for the current usage session.

FIX 3: Join Beta

While this is a permanent fix but the beta builds are known to be less stable than their stable counterparts. So once the issue is officially fixed, make sure to leave the beta so that you are back in the stable build. So on that note, head over to Settings [from the bottom left corner of the screen] > Help > Enable the toggle next to Join the beta.

That’s it. These are the three different fixes that should help you fix the issue of WhatsApp Web scrolling not working. As far as the official stance on this matter is concerned, the developers are yet to acknowledge this issue, let alone give out any ETA for the rollout of a fix.
